52 Week Card Deck

Welcome to my Draw cards. This is a project I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember. At the beginning of 2015 I was part of a a facebook group called The 52 week illustration challenge and I saw a connection and committed to the project. 52 cards in a deck… 52 weeks in the year… and that was the beginning. It has been a huge project that challenged me in ways that I did not expect, but I am so incredibly glad that I saw it through with the support and strength from people following the deck’s creation card by card in the challenge, from friends, and from my family. As the series evolved the suits developed their own personalities. I think they were reflective of the moods I was in whilst creating them. The suits are woven into each image.
