A little about me….
I am a lover of art and of fairy tales. I see both in the world around me every day.
The hues of an Autumn sky at sunset leave me in awe.
My current art practice is focussed on the study of nature in and around the Urban environment, and finding the space between what is real and imagined, often with a whimsical interpretation and a vibrant colour palette.
I enjoy exploring the different translations of light and shadow and exaggerating the hues between both.
My style has evolved around continual experimentation with mixed media elements and has it’s origins based in my formal studies of Visual Arts, Illustration, Design, Painting and Photography & Film, graduating with a BA in Photomedia from UWS.
I have been involved in exhibitions here and Internationally.
Having been called to the creation of art my whole life, practising full time, on and off throughout my career, incorporating it where possible into my commercial work and published children’s books.
Recently though I have returned to life as a full time artist. I am focussed on painting what I know and exploring the signs of life in my own environment.
